Influenced by new media (as explored in Media Theory) rhetorical methods can be explained in relation to Identity and Diversity, and understood within a broader context of Digital Society.

Media Theory explores the effects of new forms of digital media on the changing relationship between Digital Self, technology, and Digital Society. The ways in which digital media are developed and distributed often directly influence how information is shared and used to inspire or discourage Transformative Action; these methods are referred to collectively as Digital Rhetoric.
